As I enter prayer now;

Thank you, Lord, for giving us your Spirit when you chose us to be your children. We praise you for bringing us into your family with common goals of preaching the gospel and bringing hope to the world. We thank you for the variety of gifts you give us to help work towards that goal. Thank you for the ongoing work of redemption and transformation into your image, through the Holy Spirit. We thank you for your unconditional love that never changes nor is hidden from us. Amen!

Oh, the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand around with sinners, or join in with mockers. But they delight in the law of the Lord, meditating on it day and night. They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season. Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all they do.
Psalm 1:1-3
For the Lord has redeemed Israel from those too strong for them. They will come home and sing songs of joy on the heights of Jerusalem. They will be radiant because of the Lord ’s good gifts— the abundant crops of grain, new wine, and olive oil, and the healthy flocks and herds. Their life will be like a watered garden, and all their sorrows will be gone. The young women will dance for joy, and the men—old and young—will join in the celebration. I will turn their mourning into joy. I will comfort them and exchange their sorrow for rejoicing.
Jeremiah 31:11-13
Since you have been raised to new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits in the place of honor at God’s right hand. Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth. For you died to this life, and your real life is hidden with Christ in God. The songs of prayer lodge in our mouths.

and those distant ears that hear.
Heavenly Father, cast Your protection over Your people who have been excluded from their family homes because they follow You. Give them a safe place to live and a community of supportive friends. Intervene in the hearts of the lawmakers and those in power, to legislate for a fairer society where Christians no longer face discrimination. Strengthen Your community of believers in the Arabian Peninsula. Help them find one another and encourage each other through prayer and fellowship. Amen.
Jesus, as my light, illuminate and guide me.
As my shield, protect me.

Today be my core and aroma, gently powerfully
In the heart of those I speak to; and speak to me through them.
Today be my center and encircle me with Your powerful love.

Father, help me to live this day to the full, being true to You, in every way.
