As I enter prayer now;
I pause to be still;
to breathe slowly;
to re-centre my scattered senses upon the presence of God
“Repent of your sins and turn to God, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near. ”

What sorrow for those who are heroes at drinking wine and boast about all the alcohol they can hold.

In your name Papa, Jesus and Spirit. Amen

You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb. Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it. You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb. You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed.
How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered! I can’t even count them; they outnumber the grains of sand! And when I wake up, you are still with me!
Psalm 139:13-18

Ephesians 5:31-32
Give me a candle of the Spirit, O God, as I go down into the deeps of my being. Show me the hidden things, the creatures of my dreams, the storehouse of forgotten memories and hurts. Take me down to the spring of my life, and tell me my nature and my name. Give me freedom to grow, so that I may become that self, the seed of which You planted in me at my making.
Heavenly Father, pour Your healing into all those affected by persecution in Mozambique. Give them fresh hope. Protect and provide for Christians who’ve been forced to flee violence. Intervene to diminish the rising threat of Islamic extremists and drug cartels, and enable believers to return to their homes and live safely. Equip the security forces to decisively deal with criminality. Powerfully encourage our family in Mozambique. May they see Your hand at work in their lives and country. Amen.
