As I enter prayer now;

to re-centre my scattered senses upon the presence of God
O Lord, what a variety of things you have made! In wisdom you have made them all. The earth is full of your creatures.

Romans 11:29
God, you have blessed us all with individual gifts and have called us all to different roles. No one can take your gifts from us, not even ourselves. Help us to never ridicule others, but to comfort those who are ridiculed, and put an end to the shaming of others that goes on in society. All people are your children and each is special and gifted in your sight. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Psalm 86:11-13
This is the account of the creation of the heavens and the earth.
When the Lord God made the earth and the heavens, neither wild plants nor grains were growing on the earth. For the Lord God had not yet sent rain to water the earth, and there were no people to cultivate the soil. Instead, springs came up from the ground and watered all the land. Then the Lord God formed the man from the dust of the ground. He breathed the breath of life into the man's nostrils, and the man became a living person.
Then the Lord God planted a garden in Eden in the east, and there he placed the man he had made. The Lord God made all sorts of trees grow up from the ground - trees that were beautiful and that produced delicious fruit. In the middle of the garden he placed the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.
Genesis 2:4b-9
I am telling you these things now while I am still with you. But when the Father sends the Advocate as my representative - that is, the Holy Spirit - he will teach you everything and will remind you of everything I have told you.

Father, help me to live this day to the full, being true to You, in every way.
Jesus, help me to give myself away to others, being kind to everyone I meet.
Spirit, help me to love the lost, proclaiming Christ in all I do and say.
