Watchwords

Watchword for the week

For your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom. You rule throughout all generations.

The Lord always keeps his promises; he is gracious in all he does.

Psalm 145:13

You have shaken our land and split it open. Seal the cracks, for the land trembles.

Psalm 60:2

Jesus was sleeping at the back of the boat with his head on a cushion. The disciples woke him up, shouting, “Teacher, don’t you care that we’re going to drown?”

When Jesus woke up, he rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Silence! Be still!” Suddenly the wind stopped, and there was a great calm.

Mark 4:38-39

Prayer

God of peace, the quakes and storms of life can leave us frightened and alone. Help us turn to your calming assurance as we open to the stillness of your peace. We are profoundly grateful for your welcome and love. Amen.
