Watchwords

Watchword for the week

Teach us to realize the brevity of life, so that we may grow in wisdom.

Psalm 90:12

I will bring that group through the fire and make them pure. I will refine them like silver and purify them like gold. They will call on my name, and I will answer them. I will say, ‘These are my people,’ and they will say, ‘The Lord is our God.’”

Zechariah 13:9

I heard a loud shout from the throne, saying, “Look, God’s home is now among his people! He will live with them, and they will be his people. God himself will be with them. He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.”

Revelation 21:3-4

Prayer

Ever-present God, you know our thoughts before we speak and our pain before we cry out. Even in the darkest times, we are not alone, because your Spirit dwells within us. Thank you for holding us in your firm and comforting hand. Amen.
