Watchwords

Watchword for the week

For you have been born again, but not to a life that will quickly end. Your new life will last forever because it comes from the eternal, living word of God.

1 Peter 1:23

Light shines in the darkness for the godly. They are generous, compassionate, and righteous.

Psalm 112:4

For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever! So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.

2 Corinthians 4:17-18

Prayer

God of light, shine brightly, even through the gloom of our afflictions. Shine, so that we can see the way to live a righteous life before you. Help us to be gracious, not rude; truthful, not dishonest; patient, not expedient; compassionate, not cruel; full of joy and not despairing. Amen.
