Watchwords

Watchword for the week

But even as he spoke, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and a voice from the cloud said, “This is my dearly loved Son, who brings me great joy. Listen to him.”

Matthew 17:5

As surely as I live, says the Sovereign Lord, I take no pleasure in the death of wicked people. I only want them to turn from their wicked ways so they can live. Turn! Turn from your wickedness, O people of Israel! Why should you die?

Ezekiel 33:11

And don’t let us yield to temptation, but rescue us from the evil one.

Matthew 6:13

Prayer

O gracious Savior, we thank you that, in your divine mercy and grace, you have done for us what we were unable or unwilling to do for ourselves. You have called us to yourself. You have forgiven our sins, cleansed our hearts and lives, and healed us of our brokenness. Because of you, in all circumstances, we are able to sing, “It is well with my soul.” Amen.
