Watchwords

Watchword for the week

Turn us again to yourself, O Lord God of Heaven’s Armies. Make your face shine down upon us. Only then will we be saved.

Psalm 80:19

In the past I deliberately uprooted and tore down this nation. I overthrew it, destroyed it, and brought disaster upon it. But in the future I will just as deliberately plant it and build it up. I, the Lord, have spoken!

Jeremiah 31:28

Dear brothers and sisters, be patient as you wait for the Lord’s return. Consider the farmers who patiently wait for the rains in the fall and in the spring. They eagerly look for the valuable harvest to ripen.

James 5:7

Prayer

Gracious Lord, hear our prayer for trust and patience. Help us to trust the promise of your presence, and to patiently wait for your guidance. Forgive us when our impatience takes over, and renew our faith in your guidance. Amen.
