“Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation. I will be honored throughout the world.”
Psalm 46:10
You who love the Lord, hate evil! He protects the lives of his godly people and rescues them from the power of the wicked.
Psalm 97:10
In everything we do, we show that we are true ministers of God. We patiently endure troubles and hardships and calamities of every kind.
We have been beaten, been put in prison, faced angry mobs, worked to exhaustion, endured sleepless nights, and gone without food.
We serve God whether people honor us or despise us, whether they slander us or praise us. We are honest, but they call us impostors. We are ignored, even though we are well known. We live close to death, but we are still alive. We have been beaten, but we have not been killed.
2 Corinthians 6:4,5,8-9
Protecting God, in faithfulness, we seek to do your work in a world that can feel punishing; a world that may strike back when we stand up for your will. Continue to give us life in you and courage when needed. Amen.
