Watchwords

Watchword for the week

For he said to God,

"I will proclaim your name to my brothers and sisters. I will praise you among your assembled people."

Hebrews 2:12

Don't tear your clothing in your grief, but tear your hearts instead." Return to the Lord your God, for he is merciful and compassionate, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love. He is eager to relent and not punish.

Joel 2:13

For God chose to save us through our Lord Jesus Christ, not to pour out his anger on us. Christ died for us so that, whether we are dead or alive when he returns, we can live with him forever.

1 Thessalonians 5:9-10

Prayer

Lord, gracious and merciful, slow to anger, abounding in steadfast love, relenting from punishment, wow! As people not destined for wrath but for salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, we're overwhelmed. Stir us to love. Amen.
