Watchwords

Watchword for the week

You see, we don't go around preaching about ourselves. We preach that Jesus Christ is Lord, and we ourselves are your servants for Jesus' sake.

2 Corinthians 4:5

But the Israelites pleaded with the Lord and said, "We have sinned. Punish us as you see fit, only rescue us today from our enemies."

Judges 10:15

In the same way, there is more joy in heaven over one lost sinner who repents and returns to God than over ninety-nine others who are righteous and haven't strayed away!

Luke 15:7

Prayer

Creator of the earth and the example of generous and transforming love, we open our hearts in wonder. Could it possibly be that you love each of us as if we were your favorite? If one of us wanders away, you will abandon the other ninety-nine. Your math is different from ours. Perhaps that is why each of us counts so much to you. Inspire us to love you more; empower us to value others. Amen.
